The Education Partnership Trust

Our third SEN school for The Education Partnership Trust portfolio is their most ambitious yet and demonstrates their commitment to providing a bespoke approach to teaching tailored to the headteacher’s vision.

The School is situated on green-belt land between the M65 and Burnley’s inner suburbs. Its shallow L-shaped plan maximises the benefits of natural light and ventilation. 3D noise modelling was used during the design stages to ensure the building protects the external play spaces from motorway noise.

Its layout provides a clear separation between primary and secondary school children, with a series of shared spaces for assembly, sports, and dining.

Secondary school children are given a traditional approach to Science, Arts and Media teaching, supported by vocational courses in construction, catering, hair and beauty.

K2 Architects have worked collaboratively as a part of our team throughout pre-construction and the construction period. They have always delivered a quality service and have been able to adapt to change proactively. We can only achieve such accolades by the significant efforts of design partners such as K2 Architects.
